Feeling a little like Julie...

...from Julie and Julia - I'm about to blog about food.

Wow - I can't believe it's been since July when I updated this thing last... let's see what's going on... I got a new job with a new company that I love - Post Haste Sound. Jeremy and I got an apartment together in Santa Monica, less than a block from the beach. I'm going to Mexico again next month for my birthday. My parents are coming to visit for 5 days next week - and we're going to eat our way through Los Angeles. And everything's going great - that pretty much sums it up.

With that said, I'd like to try to update this with my usual random musings and happenings.

Jeremy and I have been trying to cook delicious meals, and we've so far been more successful trying to make recipes that we see on TV, rather than me trying to make my mother's delicious recipes (they never taste as good as hers). And in our quest to become great chefs - we have discovered Tyler Florence. He is like the god of delicious, moderately complicated, completely satisfying food. We go home for lunch most days, and "Tyler's Ultimate" is on during our lunch.

We've made a few of Tyler's awesome recipes, and tonight we will attempt to tackle Veal Picatta and Fried Calamari with Basil and Lemon with Arrabbiata Sauce. Awesome, right? I'll have to report back on how it goes.
