I often find myself being pulled in by a certain song, and I can often tie some sort of meaning to it, which connects with my own life. If there's a piece of paper or notebook handy, I usually write them down. So after some searching, here's some that I found in the pages of my documentary notebook, and also the Book of Katie (aka my pseudo-journal):
"And I could write a song a hundred miles long. Well that's where I belong and you belong with me." - Coldplay, Swallowed in the Sea
"I realized that you were an island and I passed you by." - Coldplay, Warning Sign
"I like being submerged in your contradictions." - Jason Mraz, Beautiful Mess
"I've been trying for days, to think of a way to find the words to make sense of how we behave." - Jordin Sparks, See My Side
"Steal my heart and hold my tongue, I feel my time, my time has come. Let me in, unlock the door. I've never felt this way before." - Coldplay, 'Til Kingdom Come
"It's like taking a guess when the only answer is yes." - Jason Mraz, Beautiful Mess
"I could tell that you could tell that I was taking my time." - Metro Station, Shake It
"I thought you were right, so I was up all night thinking about you." - Matt Costa, Lilacs
"All I really want to do is to love you, a kind much closer than friends use, but I still can't say it after all we've been through." - Jason Mraz, If It Kills Me
"All you see is where else you could be when you're home." - Death Cab, Your Heart is an Empty Room
"I'm willing and able, so I throw my cards on your table." - Bob Marley, Is This Love
"I would give you my wings, if they would help you at all." - Jason Myles Goss, Twilight Serenade
Obviously I'm loving me some Coldplay and Jason Mraz right now. Woot. Listen to their new CDs, yo.
