So last night, coming home from a Pub Quiz victory (our first ever in like 6 months or more), I was parking on my street in Santa Monica. I was parallel parking, as is the norm on my street, and Jeremy got out to help me squeeze into the spot. Across the street from my apartment, is another apartment building that has a fence across what used to be a drive way. The curb dips down, as if it were a driveway, but it is not. As in most places, in Santa Monica it is perfectly legal to park where the curb dips down if it's not a driveway. Am I making myself clear enough?
So a woman opens her window and starts yelling at Jeremy, telling him that we can't park in front of the apartment's "drive way." Remember the above paragraph? So he yells back at her that it's not a drive way, and she says we'll be towed, and he says "Go ahead and tow us."
Needless to say, I got a note on my car this morning:
Keep in mind that this is not the first note I've received. The first one was better and it called me an asshole. Sounds like I live on a street with a bunch of assholes. Albeit, ones that are so ridiculous - they make me laugh.
